Kaw River Camp Out
June 27 @ 3:00 PM - June 28 @ 4:00 PM$100 – $150
Come with us for a Kaw River Camp Out! We love camping on a Kansas sandbar, it is a special and unique experience. There is something about the texture of the air, the night sounds and the wide open sky that are extra special from the river. There will be an almost full moon and bright stars. This is an immersive nature experience that we are SOO excited to share with you. This adventure will definitely leave you dirty, tired, relaxed and recharged. We will provide a complete gear list and we will bring special comfort amenities. New to camping? Don’t worry, we will support you in every way.
Saturday June 27th 3pm to Sunday June 28th late afternoon (details will be nailed down as we monitor conditions and finalize plans)
We will check in on Saturday around 3:00pm at Wamego to gear drop then either leave our vehicles for the shuttle guys or drive to Belvue to board the bus.
On Saturday we will paddle out a bit to find our perfect camping sandbar. We will set up our tents, explore the sandbar and then relax around the fire with dinner. DGA will provide a complete Campfire DINNER on Saturday and fresh coffee on Sunday morning to go with your breakfast. Sunday our plan is to chill on the sand bar for a bit then pack up and paddle out. We will spend half a day on the water to get out late afternoon in Belvue. Please know that our plan is that we will paddle Wamego to Belvue but we also know that our plans may change based on conditions.
DGA will provide all event planning, guide service, gear list, fire, dinner with dessert, coffee, bus or shuttle service, docent information about the river, the wildlife and some surprise amenities to keep you comfy and to support your positive experience.
