Sunset on the Kaw – First Day of Summer

Holy cow! It’s the first day of SUMMER!! Let’s get on the water! Join us for this late afternoon into evening paddle down the Delaware River to the Kansas River. We will lazily paddle down river to chillax on a sandbar. We’ll make a fire. You bring your dinner and we’ll do some sunset watching. We will be off river by dark, approximately 8:45pm. This event is open to renters and to OYO’s (those who own your own kayaks) and to club member and non-club members, Dirty Girls and Dirty Dudes.
Check in Time: 3:00pm
*OYO (own your own kayak) gear drop will be 2:30pm
Once you are signed up, you will receive an email with all of the time and location specifics and directions.
Bring: sunscreen, WATER, hearty food for a dinner on the river, snacks, a hat, water shoes or old tennis shoes, towel for the ride home – your LIFE JACKET if you have one – otherwise we’ve got you covered!
Wear: comfy clothing that can get wet, swimsuit

Covid – 18 Guidelines for Boats & Gear
Oyo’s: Bring your own kayak or canoe, paddle, life jacket, food, water and everything you need to be self-sufficient for the day.
Renters: DGA will provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Consider bringing your own life jacket if you have one. Everything we provide will be disinfected prior to your using it and when you are done using it. Bring your own food, water and everything you need to be self-sufficient for the day.
Bus Rides: We will make use of the bus and we will follow all group size, social distancing and sanitizing recommendations. Riders will be REQUIRED to wear a mask. Participants will be asked to not touch any seat backs while boarding. The bus will be sanitized with spray prior to use and post use. Participants should sit alone or if possible sit with those who are within their quaran-team. OYO’s will leave all of their gear at the put in location in order to minimize gear on the bus.
Guidelines Maintaining Distance
Please respect the minimum 6 ft. of distance space at the boat ramp, on the water and on the sandbar. Remember, it is our role to work together to provide for the comfort of the group. Please be respectful and considerate of each other’s choices and preferences for social distancing. Some may choose not to follow guidelines and others may be very strict in following guidelines – don’t judge or criticize! Allow for and respect differences of opinion. Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will ALWAYS work to follow all guidelines and procedures as suggested by our Governor, County Health Officer and the CDC. We appreciate you working with us to ensure the safety and comfort of all.

Dirty Girl Adventures Event Refund Policy:
Refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event no questions asked. After that, refunds are not given unless there are exceptional circumstances. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel or modify an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
